Racism versus Football.

The battle for black players to gain international recognition in England may have been a long one, but further north in Scotland a black footballer was paving the way over 100 years ago. Andrew Watson became the first black international footballer when he made his debut for Scotland in 1881, captaining his country to a thumping 6-1 victory against England.

In the 1920s, Jack Leslie was denied the chance to represent England, the country of his birth, due to his Jamaican parentage. A forward at Plymouth Argyle, he was the only black player in England at the time.

Bermuda-born Clyde Best, pictured here in 1972, became the first black player to establish himself in the English top flight with London club West Ham United.

Best is seen here alongside West Ham legend Bobby Moore (center right) in the 1970s. Moore captained his country to World Cup glory when the competition was held in England in 1966.

Laurie Cunningham achieved fame as one of the "Three Degrees" at West Bromwich Albion, being part of a trio of black players also including Brendon Batson and Cyrille Regis. Cunningham became the first black player to represent England at any level when he played for the under-21 team in a friendly against Scotland in 1977. His talent earned him a big-money move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in 1979.

Viv Anderson won the English First Division and played a part in Nottingham Forest's two European Cup triumphs durng a glittering playing career. He is arguably most famous for becoming the first black player to represent the senior England team against Czechoslovakia at Wembley in 1978.

Anderson was one of just two black players in England's 1986 World Cup squad, alongside Jamaica-born winger John Barnes. In contrast, the 23-man England squad which traveled to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa contained eight black players.

Cunningham and Anderson were brought into the England fold by Best's former West Ham boss Ron Greenwood, who managed the national team between 1977 and 1982. Cunningham tragically died in a car crash in Madrid at the age of 33, while Anderson ended his playing career in 1995.

After spending seven years at West Bromwich Albion, England international Regis played for several other clubs in the midlands area of England. In 1984, he joined Coventry City before spending two years with Aston Villa. The powerful striker had a season with Wolverhampton Wanderers and eventually retired in 1996.

After spells at Arsenal and Cambridge United, Batson spent the majority of his career at West Brom. The Grenada-born defender was there between 1978 and 1982 before injury cut short his career. He later became an administrator with England's Professional Footballers' Association.

Midfielder Paul Ince built on the legacy of players like Cunningham and Anderson in 1993, when he became the first black player to captain England in a 2-0 friendly defeat against the U.S. In a career where he played for Manchester United, Liverpool and Inter Milan, he collected two league titles and a European Cup Winners' Cup medal.

Green Street Hooligans

The movie begins with a fight between two “firms,” essentially the groups of hooligans for two different teams. The leader of the GSE is Pete Dunham, a cocky youngster who has no problem smashing a rival  face through a glass window. As the fight ensues, the scene flashes to a prestigious building at Harvard. Here we see Matt Buckner packing his things.
While he is packing, his roommate, Jeremy Van Holden, hands him a packet of money. As the film goes on, it is revealed that Van Holden hid his cocaine stash in Matt closet and when the school got raided, it was Matt who was expelled. Van Holden paid Matt off for his silence as he explained he had a reputation to uphold. Matt takes the money and gets on a flight to London, where his sister Shannon has been living for the past few years with her husband, Steve and his child.
Matt hasn’t been in London a day before he is cast off to Steve younger brother, who, it is revealed, is none other than the aforementioned Pete Dunham. Pete begrudgingly takes Matt to his local pub before dragging him to a football match. During this time, the rest of Pete “crew” is introduced. To make a long story short, Matt becomes part of the crew, helping them in their wild fights and escapades. The climax of the film is as bloody as it is heartbreaking.

After seeing how French favorite Zidane acted in the final game of the World Cup, it’s no wonder that fans would act even worse. This film clearly shows how deep the hatred between two teams can run. For a first-time director, Alexander does a good job of keeping the viewer visually connected. The fight scenes are graphic and the use of camera angles and stop motion create a jarring sense of reality, where the viewers have to question whether or not they themselves are fighting in a drunken environment.
The script and characters, however, leave a little to be desired. While I love his acting in other films, I will say this: Elijah Wood will annoy you. He is, in many ways, an “ugly American” who is searching for his identity by appropriating someone else(in this case, the identity is that of a British street thug). The moral lesson of the film (that if you want something, you should stand your ground…I’m guessing) is lost amid the British slang and the gratuitous violence.
But there is a moral. Really…there is. You just have to find it. And while the acting and script may not be completely Oscar caliber, the visual beauty of the film makes it well worth watching.

Urban Tribes

I´m going to talk about different urban tribes, now I  will show you the most popular urban tribes currently in Spain.

  • First I´m going to talk about the rappers. These people wear baggy trousers , backward Yankees hats, wide NBA t-shirts,  gold necklaces and basketball shoes. These people usually were born in conflictive neighborhoods with an aggressive environment . In Spain we know rappers like Duo-Kie, or the perfect example, in Burgos with The louk.
  • There is another important group called the perroflautas (Stoner/Hippie/Punk/Bohemian). That urban tribe is very new, that tribe was born the past year with the protest against the government, these people think that the government is bad and believe in the Anarchist ideology (Like punks). They dress like hippies ( Baggy trousers, with purple, orange and green colors). They were given that name because these people a lot of times goes to the protest with a dog, and playing the recorder as the demonstration progresses.

Love Poem

The first time we met, I could see,
That you and I, were meant to be.
Your eyes were so gentle, your smile so true,
When you first held my hand, I just knew.

Now the time has gone by, through laughter and tears,
These days I shall cherish, for years upon years.
Those memories we have, shall never fade,
For those are the steps, that we have made.

That was the past, the future is near,
I anxiously wait, for what will appear.
New homes, more laughter, and children so dear,
Everything will be wonderful, as long as you're near.

The values nowadays

Actually, in the XXI century nobody thought that our values will change. But all the people who think, that our values were ever the same, are too wrong.

Years ago when someone met with their friends, spend a great part of time talking, joking and spending the time doing differents  things, but now it´s a fact that a lot of people use the SmarthPhones to have more "social" contact, using Twitter, Whatsup , Tuenti or Facebook to talk and tell to the people that isn´t there at the moment the things that we do with our friends at the same time, and that  situation  is very curious... and funny.....a thing like that...

Or also that situation...

It´s a fact that our values change, and this change is connected with the time in we live, but it´s incredible  because nobody would think that the Technologies are related so.
In conclusion these simple things have made young people lose their essential values such as respect, education, and the way to live all the moments with the people that you need.

Interesting links about this values:
